No, you’re not in the wrong place or reading the wrong RSS feed. If you didn’t get my recent messages about moving WPHackr.com to its new home at RLMSeo.com you may be wondering what’s going on.
I’ve had a number of different web design/development/WordPress websites operating in the past. In an effort to consolidate my efforts (both posting to the blogs and marketing), I’ve merged those sites into this one.
If you’re coming from WPHackr.com, you’ll notice nearly all of the blog section was transferred straight from that site. The other sites that were merged were really just mini-sites devoted to marketing my Cincinnati SEO company.
Why I Made the Switch
I’ve made the switch because this site has really evolved into my main company website and I wanted to be able to focus my efforts in one place.
The ultimate goal in merging WPHackr.com with this site is to improve both the quality and frequency of blog posts by lessening the time I spend maintaining websites.
It’s my plan to cover a broader range of web-related topics here; including WordPress, design, programming, SEO and SEM.
What about the RSS Feed?
If you’re subscribed to the WPHackr.com RSS feed, you won’t have to make any changes because I’ve moved that feed to this site. Please note, however, that you will see a new feed title and, if you’re an email subscriber, you’ll receive emails from an rlmseo.com address. Be sure to whitelist no-reply [at } rlmseo d.o.t. com in your email application to ensure you continue receiving those updates.
Registered Users
Registered users have been transferred as well, so if you were registered at WPHackr.com, you’re registered here under the same username and password. I’ve tested things enough to be confident that there shouldn’t be any login issues, but if you have any trouble, get in touch with me and I’ll get the problem fixed asap.
New features
- The most obvious change here is the layout and navigation. In an effort to keep things clean and easy to follow, I’ve minimized the items listed in the blog’s sidebar. The only navigation you’ll see there are popular tags.
- To make the organization of the site more clearly defined I added a slide-in categories menu to the left side of the page. I have to credit Sitepoint.com’s articles section for that idea. You’ll notice a thin gray bar running the height of the page on the left side. If you click that bar, the blog navigation menu will slide in.
- I’ve updated all the blog posts so that each post belongs to only one category. My goal with this is to make the structure of the blog more clear and, as a result, easier to navigate.
- The forum now runs on bbPress. WPHackr.com used the Simple:Press forum plugin but I found that to have more features (and hence overhead) than I actually needed. There will be a bit of shuffling going on in the forum while I figure out the best way to transfer topics from Simple:Press to bbPress. Unfortunately it’s looking like I’ll have to write a script from scratch to do that as I’ve been unable to find a ready-made solution. Matching the design of the forum to this site is lower on my priority list, so the default bbPress theme will have to suffice for now.
- If you’re interested in the services my company provides, please feel free to browse the rest of the site via the main site navigation in the top menu.
- Finally, if anyone has any questions about anything, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks for your patience with all of this and I hope you come to enjoy this blog even more so than WPHackr.com!

Hi John,
Are the support forums for your wordpress themes still available anywhere?
Thanks for a great theme by the way, hope the consolidation has gone well.

Hi James…just shot you a reply. Everything should be fixed now. Still working out the kinks it seems
Did you have any luck switching from simple:press to bbpress? Did you have to do it manually or did you write a script to facilitate? I’m currently in the process of making the switch and haven’t found a simple solution.
Let me know ! thanks!
