Themes Updated

It’s been quite a while now since I submitted the new versions of my This Just In! and Get Some! WordPress themes over at the theme repository, and I’m still waiting on approval almost a month later. So I’ve posted the themes here because who knows how long it’ll take to hear back from them.

How to Recover Deleted Posts Using Firefox Cache

If you’ve been running a WordPress site for any time at all, and are as clumsy as I am sometimes, you’ve probably deleted a post or two by accident, or maybe WordPress deleted it for you unintentionally. While I love writing here, writing something twice because you deleted the first copy is a major chore – we’ve all had to redo work that was already done and, whatever the reason, it’s frustrating. Here’s how I recovered a post that got deleted almost immediately after I published it.

Download Windows 7 Beta

Update 1/13/09: Microsoft has extended the download period. You can get Windows 7 here until Jan. 24th

Got Rid of IntenseDebate

I decided to get rid of the IntenseDebate comment system I found out about and installed a few months ago and blogged about here. It turned out to just be much too much of a hassle for not much of a benefit.

New WordPress Plugin: Maximum Security

Weblog Tools Collection has an interesting audio interview with Mark E. of Maximum Security about his newly released Maximum Security WordPress plugin. Apparently, Mark is a 15-year veteran of the computer security business, and he seems to know his stuff. His new plugin looks to be a pretty comprehensive and easy-to-use security suite for WordPress.
